AREVO Group’s Maggie Williams earns the prestigious
2021 Diversity Equity and Inclusion Influencers

June 15, 2021

Ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the forefront of decision-making at the AREVO Group family of companies. Maggie Williams joined AREVO Group this year as the Associate VP of Operations and recently has been named one of  Staffing Industry Analyst’s 2021 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Influencers! This prestigious list honors individuals like Maggie who have made strides in moving diversity forward, especially when it comes to women’s advancement in the workplace.

Today, Maggie works with the AREVO Group executive staff to extend the conversation about diversity, equity, and inclusion, all while furthering the company’s work to date in this area. At the heart of the AREVO Group family of companies is employee empowerment. “Empowering employees and creating an industry leading employee experience is at the heart of what we do. We are excited to have someone of Maggie’s caliber join our team to help us continue to create a positive, fulfilling place to work, and the best employee experience in the industry” according to Andy Mackay, AREVO Group, Vice President of Human Resources. Empowering employees is what creates change in the staffing industry by helping companies think about hiring people differently.” “We are not all in the same box, let’s expand our thinking to who can be a great candidate,” according to Maggie. This idea of a great candidate takes the idea of inclusion beyond what we think traditionally. It applies to everyone, from the working mom to individuals who have disabilities. Thinking about your work environment differently and making sure you pave the way for non-traditional employees is the key to success.

This isn’t just something Maggie likes to talk about; she has lived it. The youngest of five children with a stay-at-home Mom and a successful entrepreneur Dad, she grew up with the support early on to achieve more. Entering the workplace, she saw, early on, the struggles of women. She didn’t fit into the mold of keeping silent. She boldly staked her claim at the executive table and now wants to do the same for everyone. “Let’s lift each other up and help and support each other.”

Never before in history has the discussion of diversity, equity, and inclusion been more important. More and more companies are diversifying their workforces which has made it even more important for all companies to educate themselves in creating a culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. As companies continue to face a shortage of workers, more conversations need to be had about how to adjust the workplace to accommodate workers of all genders, races, and backgrounds. A sound workplace diversity strategy is a win-win for all parties. Employees and companies stand to benefit from creating an environment where differing viewpoints are embraced. Diverse workplaces have been shown to perform as well as, if not better, than the norm according to Mckinsey’s Research. The chart below shows the performance of the top companies with respect to diversity:

“If we are going to be the best, Maggie’s role heading up operations requires that she looks at how we can be better every day.  Being the best starts with empowering our employees, who need to reflect the state of the world today.  We are taking intentional steps to achieve that, not just for ourselves, but for our clients as well,” according to Mike Brannock, AREVO Group CEO. Maggie is ready for the challenge; “I chose to come work here based on the amazing achievements that Mike and the team have already accomplished. My hope is I can help build on this solid foundation.”

Stay tuned for more updates on our progress and the mark Maggie continues to make with the AREVO Group team.
